Hold onto your hats, kids. This blog entry will make you rethink everything you think you know about me. Leave your expectations at the door. Prepare to be shocked. Are we in a parallel universe? Did the pod people finally take over? What the heck is she on and where does she get it in such vast quantities? All this and more await you …
… okay, I’m totally messing with you.
It’s no surprise that my favorite show ever is Buffy the Vampire Slayer. If this surprises you, then you must have accidentally stumbld onto this blog. Because anyone I’ve ever come into contact with knows of my love for this show. It usually comes up right after “Hi, my name is …” Alright, alright. You twisted my arm. I admit it … sometimes it comes up first.

There have been few shows that have been able to incorporate banter and pop culture references so successfully. Because it is nearly impossible for me to whittle my favorite bits o’dialogue to a handful, I refer you to this site for quotes.
Buffy has become part of our culture. There are over 5,000 YouTube videos related to the show. And that only counts the ones that fit the search string “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” Try searching Willow/Tara, Spuffy, OMWF. That’s just video! There are also fan fiction sites for every ship you can imagine (and even some you wish you didn’t).
It even has its own entry in the dictionary!
I’m not actually going to say anything else about the show since I am quite certain it will pop up again over the course of these 30 Days of TV. Instead, enjoy the some of the hits from my YouTube search:
Opening theme. Because Nerf Herder is cool beans.
Oh, this wasn’t in the original series? Oops.
More Grr Argh.
I wonder if the Cool Kids chose similarly. Check them out:
